Sorry I have been MIA. I was disgusted by the Lebron phenomenon and suffering from does-all-of-this-really-matter-because-I-find-it-all-disgusting syndrome.

It's tough to go from REALLY liking someone (thinking that he is one of the ONLY NBA superstars who is actually fun to watch) to REALLY loathing someone -- thanks to the disgusting ESPN fiasco and the King's obnoxious Back-Street-Boys-ish debut in Miami, with D-Wade and Bosh alongside him, every choreographed step of the way.

So I needed a little time off from sports. Plus the fact that baseball is so excruciatingly boring and the World Cup, to me, was a snoozefest.

But there's hope. The end of the All-Star Game last night was actually exciting. And the first pre-season NFL game is less than a month away -- on AUGUST 8!

I do need a few more weeks off, though. Will Leitch's column on LeBron perfectly summed it up. And looking at this old Nike ad just adds fuel to the fire: We were all witnesses to the disgusting revelation of what sport is really about in this country. Not only witnesses, but participants. I'll take a few more weeks before I knowingly participate by being an avid sports fan again.

We all were sucked into Lebron's world...I even had non sports fans in my house waiting on the edge of their seats for his decision. The man really wants a ring...I just can't wait until the Finals. Lakers vs. Heat???
